Bing Knowledge Widget now available for webmasters and publishers

On Wednesday, Microsoft released the Bing Knowledge Widget for webmasters and publishers. This easy-to-deploy, JavaScript-based widget detects and visualizes entities on a webpage and displays rich information about them, thereby keeping visitors engaged and informed within the context of the page.

“A visitor to your site need simply hover over the objects you’ve selected in the backend to see the widget come to life along the right-hand side of the screen, showcasing content related to each entity, directly from Bing’s knowledge repository,” said a post on Bing’s Webmaster Blog.

Bing also announced App Linking functionality, enabling businesses to connect their app to their website so that search results for the top level of the website include a link to the app.
