App of the Week: Office Lens turns your Windows Phone device into a pocket scanner

With the Office Lens app for Windows Phone, you never have to worry about losing notes on whiteboards or misplacing stray receipts and sticky notes again.

The app trims, enhances and makes pictures of whiteboards and docs readable, and saves them directly into OneNote and your Windows Phone device’s camera roll. It’s like having a scanner in your pocket!

Using the app’s Whiteboard mode, you can trim and clean up your pictures’ glares and shadows, while Document mode lets you trim and color them perfectly. If your photos include text, you can search for words or edit, copy and paste selected passages using optical character recognition (OCR).

Office Lens requires logging in with your Microsoft Account, which must be the same as the one registered on your device.

Download Office Lens from the Windows Phone Store today.
