Major League Gaming brings its first app to the big screen on Xbox 360

The Xbox Apps Store Monday added an exciting new channel of eSports and gaming content: the Major League Gaming (MLG) app for Xbox 360, which brings MLG.tv’s premium video content directly to Xbox Live Gold subscribers in the U.S, Canada, U.K. and Australia.

Not familiar with MLG? Think of it as both the NFL and the ESPN for competitive video games. Operating the longest-running competitive gaming league in North America, it hosts Pro Circuit competitions around the U.S., and millions of players compete online each month via the MLG: Play Gamebattles online competition site.

Head on over to Xbox Wire for a Q&A with Sundance DiGiovanni, co-founder and CEO of MLG, who discusses the new app (the company’s first for the big screen), MLG.tv programming and future plans.
