|Bing Maps Preview for Windows 8.1|
Brandon LeBlanc’s monthly series of his favorite Windows and Windows Phone apps continues with Bing Maps, e-readers and news and reviews.
He leads off on the Windows Experience Blog with the Bing Maps Preview that was built from the ground up for Windows 8.1, with its “impressive 3D renderings of landscapes including select cities (‘3D cities’),” Streetside view, in-app searching and “several smart features such as traffic notifications on favorite routes (like going from home to work), Local Scout and personalized Picks for You.”
With NOOK, LeBlanc has a library of books, magazines and comic books that for him, includes the DC Comics “Knightfall” Batman graphic novel. He signs in with his Microsoft Account, which he also uses to log in to his PCs, Windows Phone, OneDrive and Outlook.com.
LeBlanc uses WPCentral to stay in the loop with Windows Phone and Windows news, app reviews, tips and tricks. “Not a day goes by that I don’t hit up WPCentral to see what they’ve written about,” he writes. Download WPCentral from the Windows Store and from the Windows Phone Store.
Head over to the Windows Experience Blog to see the rest of LeBlanc’s picks.
