For 19 years, the Microsoft Health Users Group’s Innovation Awards have honored health organizations and their technology solution partners for using Microsoft devices and services in innovative ways. The winners of this year’s awards were announced Tuesday at the 2014 Annual – Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society Conference & Exhibition in Orlando, Fla.
As the Microsoft in Health blog reports, these recipients were chosen for enhancing the quality of patient care, improving clinician productivity, electronic medical record (EMR) optimization and streamlining clinical and business processes.
The award winners were Genesis Rehab Services with Respond Well for Innovation in Patient Engagement, Healthcare Corporation of America (HCA) for Innovation in Electronic Medical Record Optimization, São João Hospital with DevScope for Innovation in Electronic Medical Record Optimization, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center -Center for Technology Commercialization with Aspect Software for Innovation in Infrastructure Optimization, Meridian Health with iMPak Health for Innovation in Mobile Health Solutions and Janssen Incubator, Janssen Research, & Development, LLC for Open Innovation.
