|Ethan Hawke votes in the Bing Ballot|
With Hollywood’s biggest night less than two weeks away, Oscar anticipation is reaching fever pitch, and it’s likely to get even hotter with predictions from Bing based on a poll of stars.
During The Hollywood Reporter’s annual Oscar Nominees Night event, Bing polled nominees using the Bing Ballot on the red carpet and found out who the stars think will take home statues in the top categories including Best Movie, Best Actor and Best Actress. As the Bing Search Blog reports, among the Oscar nominees participating in the voting were David O. Russell, Barkhad Abdi, Jared Leto and Ethan Hawke.
Celebrities reached for the stars in their pick for Best Picture with “The Wolf of Wall Street” narrowly edging out “Gravity.” The nominees chose Leonardo DiCaprio to take home the Academy Award for Best Actor (47 percent of the vote), followed by Christian Bale with 21 percent. According to Bing searches for Best Actor, DiCaprio is the favorite, with 50 percent of the searches for his leading role in “Wolf of Wall Street.”
Ross Mathews was Bing’s insider at the Oscar Nominees Night event, providing a behind-the-scenes view of the party and sharing photos with the stars with #BingOscars for the @Bing and Instagram. Ross also offers his personal tips on how to plan the perfect Oscars party.
As if there wasn’t enough Oscar goodness, Bing is giving away a trip for two to Los Angeles to attend a live taping of the “Hello Ross” show and a chance to meet Ross Mathews in person.
