With Valentine’s Day approaching quickly, the Bing team has gathered the top love-related search trends of the year and favorite features that can help you with your romantic plans.
The Bing Search Blog reports that the top 10 cities “where people are most likely to be conducting romantic searches” are, in order: Atlanta, Washington D.C., Detroit, Dallas-Fort Worth, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, Columbus (Ohio),Los Angeles, Seattle and Indianapolis.
And on the flipside, five cities “where people are least likely to be searching for love”: Tampa Bay, Austin, Pittsburgh, Grand Rapids and St. Louis.
The 10 most-searched dating sites on Bing during the past year were: Plenty of Fish, Match.com, OK Cupid, Christian Mingle, Zoosk, OurTime, eHarmony, Badoo, Datehookup.com and SpeedDate.com.
“While some couples blossomed and some split, you couldn’t stop searching this year,” the blog adds as it lists the most searched couples of the year. Victoria and David Beckham are the reigning king and queen of those searches, followed by Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. But there is real royalty in the mix too: Kate Middleton and Prince William (No. 8). The rest of the couples should be instantly recognizable: Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, Jay Z and Beyoncé, and Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake.
