App of the Week: Catch all the glory of the 2014 Olympic Winter Games with NBC Sports Live Extra apps

When the 2014 Olympic Winter Games kick off on Feb. 6, viewers and fans will be able to follow their favorite events and sports from their tablets, laptops, PCs and smartphones with the help of the NBC Sports Live Extra apps for Windows and Windows Phone.

Through the two apps, viewers will have access to more than 1,000 live events with the NBC Sports Live Extra app. Not sure what time the puck will drop for the first U.S. Men’s Hockey team? No worries! With the NBC Sports Live Extra app, you can even receive push notifications for event start times, so you won’t miss any of the events close to your heart.

In addition to the 2014 Olympic Winter Games, the apps will also stream an abundance of live sporting events that air on NBC, NBC Sports Network and the Golf Channel, including NHL regular-season and Stanley Cup playoff games, the PGA TOUR, the U.S. Open (golf), Notre Dame football, the French Open (tennis), Premier League soccer, Major League Soccer, Formula One, IndyCar and Triple Crown horse racing.
