Paparazzi will be working overtime on the red carpet for the next few months, as the awards season is in full swing with the Golden Globes already out of the way and the Grammys and Oscars up next. If you can’t get enough of the celebrities, songs and films that make up nominees and winners, head over to Bing’s online resource for all your awards info.
As the Bing Search Blog reports, Bing Smart Search on Windows 8 gives you rich images of your favorite actor or artist accompanied by relevant facts and information. Haven’t heard a song nominated for an award? Simply swipe in from the right on your Surface and select search or simply start typing from the Start screen, and you’ll get results for the song that you can play via Xbox Music directly from Bing Smart Search.
With snapshot, you get quick, glance-able information about movies, artists, actors and songs directly in the search results. Bing showcases all kinds of tidbits about your favorite actors, such as their age, starring roles and previous awards – and also who their romantic links are.
With the Grammy Awards show coming up Sunday, people searching on Bing are looking up Macklemore and Ryan Lewis most as the nominees for best new artist. They captured 45 percent of searches for performers nominated in the category, narrowly beating out Kendrick Lamar, who received 34 percent. For record of the year, Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” captured 57 percent of searches, followed by Lorde’s breakout hit, “Royals,” with 32 percent.
