Customers who have purchased and installed any version of Microsoft Office 2010 or 2013 can now download a free copy of Window-Eyes, GW Micro’s popular screen-reading software.

As the Office News blog reports, this partnership between Microsoft and GW Micro helps provide improved access to Microsoft Office to people who are blind or visually impaired.

The blog explains how “the level of accessibility of our applications” is a “fundamental consideration during product design, development and testing of Office.”
