Windows Azure networking provides the infrastructure to securely connect customers’ virtual machines to one another, as well as being the bridge between the cloud and customers’ on-premises data centers. A new whitepaper gives customers insights on how they can take advantage of Windows Azure’s features to best protect their information assets, writes Ashwin Palekar on the Windows Azure blog.
Fundamental to any shared cloud architecture is the isolation provided for each customer, he writes. In Windows Azure, a customer subscription can include multiple deployments, and each deployment can contain multiple VMs. Windows Azure provides network isolation at several points.
