In “Nightmares from the Deep 2: The Siren’s Call,” you’re not only trying to find hidden objects, but also thrust into an mystery that takes you to a remote fishing village afflicted with a curse cast by Davy Jones. If that’s not enough of a double-whammy, the game is now available through the Windows Store and the Windows Phone Store for at least two weeks before it’s released to other platforms.
This sequel to “Nightmares from the Deep: The Cursed Heart” stars a curator at the Caribbean Naval Museum, Sarah Black, who receives a mysterious package containing a strange artifact. In a surprise attack, unknown assailants steal the artifact. Next thing Black knows, she’s on the shores of Kingsmouth, whose residents are slowly turning into ghoulish, mutated sea creatures. In the quest to save them, you must solve puzzles with many twists and turns.
