Windows Azure has been selected as the preferred cloud platform for StruxureWare software, a platform of integrated applications and suites used by Schneider Electric to help companies worldwide manage and conserve energy use.
“We selected Microsoft Windows Azure to accelerate the development of our software solutions, reduce costs and increase the reliability and security of our global offers,” Schneider Electric Chief Technology Officer Pascal Brosset said in a press release.
Schneider Electric, a global specialist in energy management based in Paris, provides services to electrical utilities, water- and waste-treatment plants, oil and gas companies’ infrastructures as well as to marine-sector businesses.
