Small and medium-sized businesses who are using Windows Server 2012 Essentials can now download the Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials Preview and the Windows Server Essentials Experience server role for the Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard and Datacenter editions.
Windows Server 2012 Essentials came out less than a year ago, and this version builds on the value of it being a great primary server for small businesses. Now, it can scale to larger, more diverse topologies. Businesses will also find it easier to virtualize their environments, and experience simpler access to the cloud through deep integration with Office 365 and Windows Azure.
The Windows Server Essentials and Small Business Server Blog provides much greater detail about the preview.
