Hear from Bing researchers on how to build a better search experience

You can get an inside look at the science of building a better search experience in a Bing blog post today. Based on the results of an award-winning research paper, the post describes a method called “optimized interleaving” that Bing researchers use to evaluate the relative usefulness of different possible search results, then use that data to give users more of the results they prefer. It’s a technical but fascinating read that offers real insight into the Bing team’s commitment to constantly improving its product. (You can also check out Mary Jo Foley’s piece on ZDNet for her take on Bing’s post.)
