Buzztap is a slam dunk for sports fans who need to know what’s going on in NBA and Stanley Cup Finals, as well as any other major professional and college sports league. Unlike many of my friends – especially the more vocal ones on Facebook – I’m not so invested in the NBA, but the Blackhawks vs. Bruins is going to be fun to watch. I tend to be a jockette of all trades, enjoying a variety of sports, and Buzztap has info on pretty much anything of interest in that area, including MLB, MLS and even a sport I find a yawner – pro golf. (Sorry, dad!)
What makes this app great – besides the fact that it’s free and recently added on Windows Phone 8 — is how it organizes an overwhelming array of information by sport, league, team, coach, or athlete. For the voracious reader, the app is constantly adding news sources, blogs, and discussion forums.
Buzztap has already been out on Windows 8, but this mobile version should fulfill any sportsaholic’s wishes, in that it acts as a hub in your hand for just about every topic trending in the very wide world of sports. (If one app isn’t enough, you can also peruse the Sports News collection of apps.)
So long as you’re connected to the Internet, you’re going to get the latest news. And because you’re on a Windows Phone, you can pin your favorite sports, leagues, or teams right to your Start screen for easy access.
You can download the app in the Windows Phone store.
