Windows Phone 8 has a great feature that helps protect your best photos and videos and makes them easy to share, but up to now the feature hasn’t been universally available. That just changed, and now people the world over can back up full-resolution copies of pictures and videos on SkyDrive, Microsoft’s cloud storage service. (Be patient if you don’t see the feature right away, as it could take a few days to roll out around the globe.)
Read the blog post for the simple how-to on using the feature. And thanks for your patience. As you can imagine, backing up high-res photos and videos involves a lot of data. The Windows Phone and SkyDrive teams deliberately took things slow to ensure they could provide a quality experience in each market, rather than rolling it out all at once.
