My browser has been hijacked by Snap.do., I have tried several things to get rid of it including the microsoft scanner, using safe mode to do a system restore to an earlier date and removing it from the programs but nothing has worked, any advice would be appreciated.

just had a phone call from "microsoft support" on 0203 2398739 saying my pc was being used by a someone in NIGERIA and they could stop this fraud if i went online in front of my pc whilst on the phone. He spoke with a thick eastern euro accent and was called ALAN, also could her a lot of other people talking in the background, sounds like a scam?

I have just had a phonecall from someone purpotunbg to be from Microsoft, asking me to sit infront of the pc & he will talk me through how to prevent my pc from becoming infected by all sorts of viruses which are doing the rounds.  According to this person no local technician will be able to help me!

How does one know whether this is for real or not?

My hotmail account is asking for "Check ‎po*****@hotmail.com for a message from the Microsoft account team and enter the security code here."  and a security number.  Is this from Microsoft or is a scam?
