Free online resource for web safety educators

The Family Online Safety
Institute (FOSI)
is now making its well-known Global Resource and
Information Directory (GRID) available for free.

GRID monitors, tracks, and evaluates Internet safety content.
The tool is managed by editors and expert researchers worldwide.

Kim Sanchez, Chair of the FOSI Board of Directors and Group
Communications Manager at Microsoft, says, “Now, more so than ever, there
is a need for a global resource to highlight the best practices for an open and
thriving online ecosystem.”

GRID is available at FOSIGRID.org.

Interesting to observe that an online safety institute allows registration and login over HTTP, and also fails to validate XHTML and CSS despite presenting icons to the contrary.

Doesn't fill me with confidence in their abilities to "highlight the best practicies" or to act as a "single, factual and up-to-date source…dedicated to making the Internet a safer and better place"
