The Chicago Public Library sees about 10 million visitors a year and the library is often the corner stone of Chicago neighborhoods. With 80 different locations, CPL plays a big part in the education of Chicago’s kids, teens and adults. They have also started supporting online courses in public speaking, computers, and writing through in-person study groups and offer digital skills training.
In Shelley Stern Grach’s latest Civic Chat: Networking Our Neighborhoods, she looks into these CPL programs with Andrea Sáenz, First Deputy Commissioner of Chicago Public Library and explores what we can do to further digital skills training in our communities.
