Xbox One: Your all-in-one games and entertainment system

On Friday, Xbox One showcased the all-in-one capabilities of Xbox One in a video in which Corporate Vice President of Marketing and Strategy Yusuf Mehdi and Chief Product Officer Marc Whitten show off the best of Xbox One.

Since Xbox One was unveiled in May as the all-in-one games and entertainment system, we’ve been highlighting all the kickass games coming at launch and beyond, from award-winning “Titanfall” to “Call of Duty: Ghosts” to “Forza Motorsport 5” to “Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag.” We’ve shared how Xbox One was designed for gamers, with the most active multiplayer community around, and new features like Smart Match, Game DVR and Upload Studio. We’ve also told you about how we’re partnering with key gaming entertainment powerhouses like Twitch and Machinima to take your gaming experience to a whole new level.

And on Friday, Microsoft wants to show you how Xbox One is as good at TV and entertainment as it is at gaming – because we know gamers love both. Editors over at Xbox Wire share 10 of their favorite new features, including:

  • Unleashing the power of your voice. You can start playing your favorite game, find your favorite show, change channels, turn up the TV volume and more – with the sound of your voice, powered by Bing voice recognition technology.
  • Being able to instantly resume and instantly switch. Quickly jump from one experience to another, from a game to live TV, music, movies, sports, websites and back again in seconds, just by using your voice.
  • Watch live TV via Xbox One. Watch live TV from your HDMI-compatible cable or satellite box, switching easily from games to TV – all with the sound of your voice, and without having to switch TV inputs.
  • The ability to do two things at once. You can also choose to snap two experiences together – so you can play a game while you watch TV or listen to Xbox Music. Or, watch the big NFL game while you manage your fantasy football team.

For more details on these features and to see the other favorites, head on over to Xbox Wire. Then get ready for a complete, all-in-one games and entertainment system when Xbox One launches Nov. 22.
