Unveiled: First wave of TV and entertainment apps coming to Xbox One

Having more entertainment options has always been important to Xbox fans, and we’re stepping it up with Xbox One. In addition to delivering live TV in every market where Xbox One is sold, we’re also bringing premium, voice- and gesture-controlled TV and entertainment apps specifically designed for your living room – apps that have been built from the ground up uniquely for Xbox One to bring media achievements and exclusive Snap experiences.

For years, the Xbox team has been working with leading entertainment brands and TV content providers to offer our customers a wide variety of live and on-demand entertainment. On Friday Microsoft unveiled the complete Xbox One experience – showcasing how Xbox One delivers the best games and multiplayer features, along with your favorite movies, music, sports and live TV experiences – all in one place.
There’s more you can look forward to: Xbox One is also the only games and entertainment system that enables HDMI pass through. There’s also OneGuide – the Xbox One electronic program guide – which provides customization so you can quickly and easily choose what you want to watch. And there’s Bing search for TV, movies, games or music, which scans across all apps and helps you find exactly what you’re looking for.

To get more details and see the first wave of some of the world’s biggest names in entertainment rolling out on Xbox One between Nov. 22 and spring 2014, head on over to Xbox Wire.
