Bing Smart Search on Windows 8.1 finds your needle in a haystack

In this episode of “On the Whiteboard,” Editor Pamela Woon sits down with Derrick Connell, Bing’s corporate vice president, to show how easy it is to find what you want quickly using Bing Smart Search on Windows 8.1.

Bing Smart Search takes the work out of sifting through your photos, videos, apps, documents and, of course, the Web. As the video above shows, you can type in what you’re looking for from the Start screen, and it will reveal results organized by what’s on your PC, and then pull from the Internet to give you more that will help satisfy your search.

Simply, it brings order to chaos. For instance, if you type in a city, it’ll bring up everything in your documents, apps, photos and video. If that still doesn’t help you, then you can see gorgeous photos of that city and basic facts about it. If you want to visit, Bing Smart Search will give you websites and apps that will help you book your trip.
