Increased battery life, incredible integrated graphics: Intel launches 4th-generation Core processors

Intel is launching the 4th-generation Intel Core processors (codename “Haswell”), which includes their Core i3, i5 and i7 processor lines. Brandon LeBlanc over at the Windows Experience Blog writes that the new processors are designed with mobility in mind, and deliver significant increases in battery life, improved performance and incredible integrated graphics for Windows PCs and tablets.

Additionally, coming to market later this year is Intel’s next-gen 22nm Intel Atom chip, which will offer up to three times the peak performance or five times the power efficiency over the existing 32nm Atom chips available now.

As we have seen at COMPUTEX this week, Intel is working with OEMs on new touch ultrabooks, tablets and 2-in-1 convertible devices, and more is still to come.
