Kinect Introduced at E3

Ever since we first demonstrated Project Natal at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) a year ago, gamers have been waiting for a chance to use the controller-free Xbox add-on.

Their wait is almost over.

This week at the 2010 E3, we’ve announced a pile of news around Natal. First, of course, is the official name – Kinect for Xbox 360. We have a slew of games on the way to take advantage of Kinect’s other-worldly ability to recognize users and make them part of a game’s action. Pricing and retail availability also are being announced. And we even have a new Xbox 360 console, in stores this week.

So be sure to catch our extensive coverage of Kinect for Xbox 360 and E3, now live on the Microsoft News Center. Take a look at our coverage for the new device, read about Kinect and the new games, watch our media briefing from Monday morning, and learn much more.

It’s a new world of gaming!
