Partners Find Value with Microsoft’s Cloud Apps

Today, we are announcing a new alliance with Capgemini that will bring the Microsoft Business Productivity Online Suite (BPOS), our cloud service for communication and collaboration, to Capgemini’s worldwide clients as part of their new Infostructure Transformation Services.

This news already is gaining traction with our customers. One example is C10, a French consumer-products distributor that has adopted BPOS for its entire organization. It did so because BPOS could deliver the security, enterprise-grade capabilities, and familiar experience the company wanted.

As part of our new relationship, Capgemini will train more than 1,000 people on BPOS, giving our joint customers a great source for cloud-computing expertise.  And Capgemini is developing a set of tools to help customers migrate to BPOS more easily from Lotus Notes or other platforms.  Capgemini will actively promote BPOS within its global client base. And it will offer “Journey to the Cloud” sessions, a condensed two-day workshop designed to help customers create their own customized roadmap for adopting cloud-computing solutions at a pace and scale that works best for their individual business needs.

Customers of all sizes are moving to the cloud with Microsoft because of the scalability, reliability, and familiarity we deliver with BPOS. Today, we already have more than 40 million paying users on Microsoft Online Services.  We are delighted to have a market leader such as Capgemini join our growing partner base of more than 7,000 worldwide partners.

Champion Solutions Group and BitTitan are two more partners that are embracing the cloud and betting their business on Microsoft’s cloud solutions.  You can read about their experiences in the cloud and why they too are choosing Microsoft over competitive options.  These partners, Capgemini, and more than 7,000 others make up our BPOS partner ecosystem, arguably the largest and best-trained partner ecosystem for the cloud in the world. It’s our pleasure to work with them every day to help customers get the most from cloud computing.
